London Fenerbahçe Association press conference
The London Fenerbahçe Association introduced its founding board at a press conference.
Engin Sertoğlu was elected chairman. The founding board is made up of businesspeople who live in London.
The board and its division of duties:
- Chairman: Engin Sertoğlu
- Second Chairman: Sinan Aydın
- Vice Chairmen: Ethem Özdemir and Kadir Ceylan
- General Secretary: Tolga Özsüer
- Deputy General Secretary: Mahir Yurdakul
- Membership Affairs and Treasurer: Selahattin Pınarbaşı
In his speech, the newly elected chairman Engin Sertoğlu said:
“The first thing we did after we were founded was to make our first container donation for the Fenerbahçe Container City. More will follow.
We want to announce the founding of our association, introduce our board members and tell you about the activities we will carry out from now on. As we all know, Fenerbahçe Sports Club is not just a sports club. It is Turkey's largest civil society organisation, and people from every part of society are devoted to it. With the Fenerbahçe spirit, it has a presence on every platform.”
Sertoğlu also spoke about the relief work after the earthquakes of 6 February:
“In the earthquakes of 6 February, Fenerbahçe set one of the finest examples of solidarity and quickly delivered aid to the affected regions. The club created the Fenerbahçe Container City project and started to collect donations through its associations.
As Fenerbahçe fans in London, we are part of this aid effort. As soon as the London Fenerbahçe Association was set up, we made our first container donation for the Fenerbahçe Container City.”
Membership
The London Fenerbahçe Association announced that it has started online membership applications.
Membership fees:
- Joining fee: £100 for adults, £30 for spouses and children
- Annual fee: £50 for adults, £20 for spouses and children
